"You can do this."

It all started with my husbands confident words, December 2019, as we eagerly waited to cut into some cake at a gathering we were attending. In that moment he suggested that as a creative person I could likely decorate cakes of my own.

I've always loved baking, but I had never baked a cake from scratch, nor had I ever decorated a layered cake. In high school, I would doctor up boxed cakes, to create new flavors of my own, but boxed cake wasn't going to cut it. After my husband's initial words, when I realized he was serious, I got in my kitchen and started learning. Two months later, I sold my first cake and introduced my new business, Aliyah Bakes and Creates, to the public.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported my business as it has continuously grown and look forward to sharing desserts that will satisfy your sweet tooth!
